In addition to membership The Guardians annually conduct fundraising campaigns for continuing support of the Jewish Home. These funds are used to afford the “Margin of Excellence” that marks the essential differences between the Home and other providers of elderly residential care. Several examples are:
- Average hours of nursing care
- California 3.2 hours per resident per day
- Jewish Home 4.3 hours per resident per day
- Kosher Meals Over 912k meals served annually
- Full time employed Rabbi
- Security for both campuses 24/7
- A full array of services from independent living to hospice care
- The Home’s full time medical staff of six physicians and nurse practitioners
- 460 RNs, LVNs and CNAs
- Over 22,000 activities for the residents each year – 60 daily
Birthday celebrations, concerts, exercise classes, holiday and spiritual services, lectures and tours and outings to name a few.
The Home is at the center of our community’s efforts to provide our elderly with the blessing of physical, mental and spiritual well being, regardless of their ability to pay.
